Local Taylor Swift impersonator and drag queen John Mac Lane Coronel, professionally known as “Taylor Sheesh,” has performed her first international gig in Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands.
In multiple TikTok videos, the Filipino drag queen is seen performing lip-syncs of Swift’s “…Ready For It?” and “Style”. Her stage outfits included a blue sequin top and skirt, as well as a black one-legged catsuit with graphic snake prints.
“My first international gig! Naunahan pa kita…makapunta sa Singapore [I got to Singapore before you did],” Sheesh posted recently.
Sheesh also posted a picture of her passport and concert ticket captioned, “See you next year, Singapore, for The Eras Tour!” The Singapore run of Swift’s tour will take place at the National Stadium from March 2 to 4 and March 7 to 9 next year.
Sheesh went viral in May earlier this year for her timely impersonation as Taylor Swift, who at the time announced international tour dates for popular concert series, The Eras Tour, excluding the Philippines. Her nearly one-and-a-half-hour performance at Quezon City’s TriNoma drew in an estimated 10,000 fans packed into the shopping mall.
Sheesh is a longtime Swiftie who quit her job as a call center employee to pursue a full-time career as a drag artist. The impersonator even announced her own tour dates back in September throughout the Philippines, including shows in Butuan, Bulacan, General Santos City, Laguna, Quezon, Rizal, and Tarlac City.
