SZA is making her big screen debut next January 2025.

The multiple award-winning R&B singer-songwriter is set to star in the upcoming buddy comedy film, titled One Of Them Days. The film stars Keke Palmer in the opposite leading role, marking a reunion for the two actors following their shared Saturday Night Live episode back in 2022.

Directed by Lawrence Lamont and produced by Issa Rae, One of Them Days follows SZA and Palmer as two best friends struggling to pay rent after one of their boyfriends spends all their money — leading to a full day of hijinks as the duo embarks on a whirlwind adventure to fulfill the payment. The film is scheduled to hit theaters worldwide this coming January 24, 2025. Check out the full trailer below:

In music-related news, earlier this year, SZA won several Grammy Awards, including Best R&B Song for “Snooze,” Best Progressive R&B Album for her sophomore release SOS, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Ghost in the Machine” with Phoebe Bridgers. During the ceremony proper, the R&B musician performed a Quentin Tarantino-inspired “Kill Bill” number, with dancers engaged in katana-wielding fights around the stage. Since then, she has released the single “Saturn,” which stands as No. 68 on the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 chart.

SZA also has three other tracks currently charting on the Philippine Hot 100 (dated October 26, 2024): the Grammy-winning “Snooze” at No. 30, “Nobody Gets Me” at No. 58, and “Kill Bill” at No. 75.
