Spielberg was honored at the non-televised premiere ceremony that took place before the main show aired.

Other contenders in the category include DEVO, the documentary about the band of the same name; RAYE: Live at the Royal Albert Hall, highlighting the singer’s performance at London’s iconic venue; Diane Warren: Relentless, a look at the songwriter’s journey; and Piece by Piece, the Lego biopic-documentary about Pharrell Williams.
