Raye (Rachel Keen) is making her leap to film as she is set to star in the upcoming crime drama, Lineage, directed by French filmmaker Yann Demange (White Boy Rick).

The announcement comes on the heels of the release of her second studio album, THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE, in March. The 17-track record was met with universal acclaim and includes the singles: “WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!,” “Nightingale Lane,” and “Click Clack Symphony” featuring Hans Zimmer.

Based on a story written by Demange, Lineage is set in modern-day London and follows Tariq, a father who is trying to rebuild his life after being imprisoned. His brother draws him back to the criminal underworld and close back to their crime-boss mother.

The British singer-songwriter joins fellow cast members Isabelle Huppert, Dali Benssalah, and Adam Bessa. Production for the film is scheduled to begin in early August in London.

This marks her first role for a scripted feature. In 2025, she made a cameo playing herself in the Netflix miniseries, Black Rabbit.

At the 2026 American Music Awards (AMAs), Raye is nominated for Best Vocal Performance for “WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!” This new category also includes nominees Alex Warren for “Ordinary,” HUNTR/X‘s EJAE, Audrey Nuna, Rei Ami for “Golden,” Lady Gaga for “Abracadabra,” and Sienna Spiro for “Die on this Hill.”
