PARTYNEXTDOOR has partnered with Epic Games to launch an immersive, playable concert experience inside Fortnite, available starting August 2 at 1:00 AM (PH Time).
The limited-time event takes place on a custom-designed island that reflects the R&B singer-rapper’s creative vision, developed in collaboration with Sony Music Entertainment, Sony Immersive Music Studios, and Drake‘s label OVO Sound.
The concert begins on top of Toronto’s iconic CN Tower and let players away travel on a private luxury jet to the sands of South Beach in Miami. The experience will also feature a digital version of David Grutman’s LIV nightclub at Miami Beach’s Fontainebleau hotel, where an exclusive afterparty will take place. Along the way, fans can participate in mini-games, scavenger hunts, and parkour levels.
PARTYNEXTDOOR will perform “visually dynamic, stylized versions” of some of his biggest hits, including “Break from Toronto,” which will also be available as a Jam Track in the Fortnite Shop. Other featured songs include “Make It to the Morning” and “Somebody Loves Me.”
Speaking about the collaboration, PARTYNEXTDOOR shares it was a natural fit, as it allowed him to create his own world within the game.
Players can access the custom Fortnite island with the code: 7024-5026-8823.
PARTYNEXTDOOR is currently touring Europe with Drake on their joint ‘$ome $pecial $hows 4 U‘ tour, performing across major cities. It kicked off with a three-night show at London’s Finsbury Park from July 11 to 13 and will wrap up with a two-night show at Hamburg’s Barclays Arena on September 22 and 23.
