New Elvis Presley Concert Film Releases Official Teaser Trailer

Australian filmmaker Baz Luhrmann returns to Elvis Presley‘s life and legacy with the concert film, EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert, which has just released its official teaser trailer.

Set to Richard Strauss’ “Also sprach Zarathustra,” the trailer opens with text onscreen: “In 1969, Elvis Presley returned to the stage… to begin a legendary residency in Las Vegas.”

While working on the 2022 biopic, Luhrmann discovered previously unseen archival footage of Presley, which eventually laid the foundation for creating this follow-up concert film.

The film premiered in September at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival and features archival and long-lost footage from Presley’s Las Vegas residency, along with 16mm reels from the 1972 documentary Elvis on Tour. Additionally, the concert film includes 8mm film sourced from the Graceland archive.

Following its festival debut, the film will hold a special screening on January 8, 2026, at Graceland, Presley’s former home, coinciding with what would have been his 91st birthday.

Elvis stars Austin Butler as Presley and Tom Hanks as his manager, Colonel Tom Parker. The film explores the music icon’s rise to fame and his complicated personal and professional relationships. It premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on May 25, 2022, and has grossed over USD 288 million worldwide. It received eight nominations at the 95th Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Butler.
