Mitski is set to make her cinematic debut with Mitski: The Land, her first-ever concert film, which is scheduled for a limited theatrical release on October 22, 2025, in 630 cinemas across 30 countries.
Directed by Grant James, the film captures the essence of her three-night performance at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre in 2024, showcasing her seventh studio album, The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We.
Accompanied by a seven-piece band and choreographed by Monica Mirabile, the “My Love Mine All Mine” singer delivers a compelling performance that blends music with movement. The stage design, created by Andi Watson, reflects the album’s themes of isolation and longing, transitioning from minimalist to dreamlike visuals.
Meanwhile, longtime collaborator Patrick Hyland mixed the audio of the live performances.
The concert film not only features tracks from The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We but also includes reworkings and reimaginings of songs from her music catalog, which caters to both new and longtime fans.
Tickets for the concert film will be available starting September 15. Check for more information and to purchase tickets here. Philippine screenings have not yet been officially confirmed.
Released in 2023, The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We received critical acclaim, with one of its standout tracks, “My Love Mine All Mine,” going viral on TikTok and achieving commercial success. It also became her first entry on the Billboard US Hot 100, peaking at No. 26.
