Reputation (Taylor’s Version) will be the fifth of six re-recordings from Swift, with her 2006 debut Taylor Swift still to awaiting a release date. The re-recordings began after Swift’s public dispute with her former label, Big Machine, over the rights to her original masters. Since then, she has released Fearless (Taylor’s Version), Red (Taylor’s Version), Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), and 1989 (Taylor’s Version), regaining control over her music while reintroducing her albums to fans and new listeners.
