Jung Kook of BTS and Calvin Klein launch their first-ever collaboration with a limited-edition CKJK collection that “evokes the freedom of the open road.”
“A bold expression of the global icon’s authentic style. A first-of-its-kind collaboration. This is Jung Kook for Calvin Klein,” says the caption of Calvin Klein’s announcement.
The collection is a first-of-its-kind and incorporates biker-inspired looks and streetwear aesthetic, which mirrors the K-pop superstar’s interest in motorcycles. This marks the first-ever collection drop for the brand and the K-pop superstar, who acts as their global ambassador. In March 2023, Jung Kook was appointed to the role for Calvin Klein Jeans and Calvin Klein Underwear.
Key silhouettes of the collection include a throwback to the 1990’s with a trucker jacket, straight fits, and baggy jeans. For the tops, there are graphic tees, sweatshirts, and a racer jacket to fully capture the feel of being on the road in style.
Before the collection’s official release, fans got a sneak peek of the vibe and aesthetic of the collection on Pinterest. The campaign features photos and visuals shot by British photographer Alasdair McLellan.
Additionally, this isn’t Calvin Klein’s first collaboration with a K-pop idol. In 2023, they launched the JENNIE for Calvin Klein collection with the BLACKPINK star. The capsule featured the Calvin Klein logo reinterpreted in JENNIE’s handwriting, much like the latest collaboration with Jung Kook.
The CKJK collection launches on May 20 at 6:00 AM (PH Time) and will be available online and in select physical stores. Prices range roughly from PHP 1,800 to PHP 43,200.
