Get ready, Hunters. The soundtrack of the global Netflix sensation, Kpop Demon Hunters, is coming to the physical media format very soon.
With songs from the soundtrack not only dominating — but topping — several global music charts (including the Philippines Hot 100), the demand from fans of the film for the songs by HUNTR/X and the Saja Boys is clearly there, which makes it the perfect time to celebrate their chart-topping accomplishments with these special physical releases.
News of the soundtrack’s forthcoming release was announced by both Netflix and Republic Records, with several physical media formats set to be dropped over the next few months. Each release will come with varying inclusions and formats, which is why Billboard Philippines is here to help you choose which version of the soundtrack album would fit best for your collection.
Standard CD

For those who don’t have any fancy record players out there, the beloved soundtrack of the animated film is available for purchase on a standard CD format. The disc itself is housed in a sturdy jewel case and includes an exclusive bonus poster (size still undetermined), alongside one random photocard (1 of 3 versions). It’s the perfect addition to your collection if you’re looking to play it from start to finish in your car, or even if you’re looking to revive your portable CD players from the early 2000s.

“Takedown” (Limited Edition 7″ Purple Vinyl)

Most 7″ vinyl records make for great collectibles, and the special 7″ record of “Takedown” is no exception. The vinyl release of the angsty-pop single (which HUNTR/X initially didn’t want to release) features two renditions of the chart-topping single, including the version of TWICE’s Jihyo, Jeongyeon, and Chaeyoung, and that of HUNTR/X (EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI) themselves.
The record is pressed on a limited edition run on purple colored vinyl, and is housed in a single jacket featuring unique cover artwork of Jihyo, Jeongyeon, and Chaeyoung illustrated in an anime style of drawing. For those purist collectors out there, the full Kpop Demon Hunters soundtrack is also available on classic black vinyl.
The release includes all twelve tracks from the soundtrack, and is housed on a singular pocket jacket. It also includes an exclusive fold-out poster (size yet to be determined) and a random photo card that stands as one 1 of 4 versions to be collected. Most vinyl purists would argue that the classic black vinyl format would sound the best, which makes this the optimal choice for any audiophile looking to purchase the album on this format.
