More than 50 years after its release, George Harrison’s 1973 hit “Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth)” has received its first-ever official music video — directed by Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard.

Originally released in 1973 as the opening track and lead single from Harrison’s fourth studio album, Living in the Material World, the song reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was Harrison’s second U.S. No. 1 hit, following “My Sweet Lord.” A 50th-anniversary edition LP of the album was released in 2024.

The music video features stop-motion animation created by a team of 20 Canadian artists from studios including Nobody Told Me Studios and Tye Down Pictures. It is directed by Akash Jones, produced by Jason Baum and Michael Wamara, and executive produced by Harrison’s son, Dhani Harrison, along with David Zonshine. The video depicts a man resembling Harrison and pays homage to Friar Park, his English estate and beloved garden.

Wolfhard says it was a great honor to work with the Harrison family and collaborate with a team of talented young Canadian artists to bring the video to life. “It’s hard to put into words how grateful I am for this opportunity. George Harrison has and will continue to be a huge inspiration to me, and his work will live on forever,” he adds.
