Your Internet Bedroom is going viral. Here’s how you can join the fun.

Your Internet Bedroom is a free-to-use online application where you can showcase your music taste through an AI-generated visualization of a bedroom. Similar to Spotify Wrapped, it is a fun summary of the different kinds of artists and songs one listens to, with this one uniquely visualizing it as a bedroom of sorts using a user’s streaming data.

It was created by Reddit user Empty_Plastic7371, who posted about it on the popular forum social network, soon gaining attention among its users before inevitably going viral on other platforms such as X (formerly Twitter).

How does Internet Bedroom work?

Your Internet Bedroom can be accessed by the Verse website, where one can make “visual blogs, mini-sites, collages, mixed media art, and more.”

Upon visiting the app, one is given the option to generate their very own internet bedroom based on the digital streaming platform (DSP) of their choice. Currently, the app can only be used by Spotify and Apple Music users.

After the user has chosen their preferred DSP, Your Internet Bedroom will then study their streaming data, analyzing one’s listening history before picking out the user’s top favorite artists. These chosen artists will then be displayed in the virtual bedroom, mimicking vinyl records on display as well as wall posters.

Based on these chosen artists and their genres, the app will generate the aesthetic, initial decorations, and other props for the user’s unique space. These will be accompanied by a nickname or a fun label of sorts based on what one listens to, including “disco brat,” “metal thrasher,” “garden wanderer,” and more.

Can you customize your room?

The answer is, yes! To some degree, at least.

The user can click around the room and customize certain parts of it. This includes choosing a dog or a cat as one’s pet, switching up the pieces of furniture and plants, or changing up the stuffed toys, action figures, or gaming accessories.

The user, however, cannot change the artists Your Internet Bedroom has assigned for them.
