“Guess who’s back, back again?” The official trailer for Scary Movie, the sixth installment of the beloved parody film franchise, has been released, featuring Eminem’s “Without Me.”
Fittingly, the popular 2002 Slim Shady track underscores the franchise’s grand return to the big screen after a 13-year hiatus, following the release of Scary Movie 5 in 2013.
In the US, the trailer premiered theatrically in the US ahead of Scream 7 in late February before dropping online just a few days after.
The film takes place 26 years after Shorty (Marlon Wayans), Ray (Shawn Wayans), Cindy (Anna Faris), and Brenda (Regina Hall) — dubbed the Core Four (named after the survivor groups of the Carpenter sisters and the Meeks‑Martin twins from the fifth and sixth Scream films) — have escaped the masked killer Ghostface in the original film.
In the spirit of parodying horror cinema culture today — from reboots and legacy sequels to spin-offs and requels — the return of the Scary Movie franchise marks a significant shift, reflecting how modern horror films have evolved.
Among the films spoofed are M3GAN, Terrifier 3, The Substance, Get Out, Smile, Weapons, Ma, Sinners, Halloween (2018), Longlegs, and, of course, the revival Scream films.

Scary Movie 6 spooks its way to Philippine cinemas on June 10, 2026.
Originally launched in 2000 with a parody of late-1990s slasher films, the franchise has since spawned four sequels: Scary Movie 2 (2001), Scary Movie 3 (2003), Scary Movie 4 (2006), and Scary Movie 5 (2013).
