Charli XCX has (finally) dropped the first teaser trailer for her upcoming mockumentary film, The Moment.
Based on an idea by Charli herself, the forthcoming feature film is directed by renowned photographer Aidan Zamiri, and is being distributed worldwide by A24. Despite being a scripted film, it features a premise that follows the pop star’s whirlwind life on tour following a breakthrough moment in her career — exploring the demands of stardom ahead of her first arena tour, with both Charli’s name and the now-iconic Brat signage present in the first-look footage.
Also featured in the trailer are some of the film’s very own cast members, such as Rachel Sennott and Kylie Jenner, alongside real-life public figures like Stephen Colbert and others. “When I felt like people started to care about me, nothing else mattered,” said the English pop innovator in one scene from the trailer. “Nothing was more important than Brat.”

The Moment features a script co-written by Zamiri and Bertie Brandes, with Charli and David Hinojosa serve as producers. The project is just one of the pop star’s many ventures into the realm of film as of late, following her recent acting debut with Pete Ohs‘ Erupcja, which debuted at the recent Toronto International Film Festival. She also starred in Julia Jackman’s 100 Nights of Hero, which was part of the lineups at the Venice Film Festival and London Film Festival, while her appearance in Greg Arakki’s I Want Your Sex is also set to premiere soon.
Most recently, Charli announced her involvement in Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights film adaptation — contributing not just one track for the forthcoming film, but an entire album of original songs, which is aptly named after the film itself. The record is set to serve as the seventh studio album in her discography, and is scheduled to be released on February 13, 2026. To precede the release of the album, the “360” hitmaker dropped two singles off the album, including the broody track “House” featuring The Velvet Underground’s co-founder John Cale, as well as the baroque pop “Chains of Love.”
Though no details have been shared regarding the film’s release date worldwide, Aidan Zamiri and Charli XCX’s The Moment is scheduled to premiere in cinemas in the United States beginning January 30, 2026.
