This is real, it’s happening. Camp Rock 3, the much-awaited sequel to Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, is officially on the way —which will premiere on Disney+ and the Disney Channel.
Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, and Kevin Jonas of the Jonas Brothers will return as Shane, Nate, and Jason Gray of the band Connect 3. Although Demi Lovato won’t return to reprise her role as Mitchie, she will be executive producing the sequel. Meanwhile, Maria Canals-Barrera will return as Mitchie’s mother, Connie Torres.
Camp Rock 3 picks up when Connect 3 lose their opening act for a major reunion tour, and they return to Camp Rock to discover the next big thing. With all the new campers vying for the chance to open for their favorite band, friendships will be tested, and revelations and romances will unfold throughout the camp.
Joining the original cast are rising stars, who include Liamani Segura (Descendants: Wicked Wonderland) as Sage, Malachi Barton (ZOMBIES 4: Dawn of the Vampires) as Fletch, Lumi Pollack (Electric Bloom) as Rosie, Hudson Stone as Desi, Casey Trotter (The Thundermans) as Cliff, Brooklynn Pitts as Callie, and Ava Jean as Madison.
Filming has already begun this week in Vancouver, with the third film in the film series to be directed by Veronica Rodriguez and written by Eydie Faye.
Released in 2008 and 2010, respectively, the first two Camp Rock films were among the top 10 highest-rated Disney Channel Original Movie premieres of all time.
