JENNIE of BLACKPINK is bringing her signature ruby aesthetic and “It Girl” persona to Ray-Ban as its newest global ambassador for the brand’s main line and Meta collection of AI-powered glasses.

Her appointment marks the launch of the “Styles for Unfiltered Confidence” campaign, which kicks off with the Ray-Ban Meta Blayzer Optics designed for prescription use and set to be available starting April 14. Other styles in the collection include the Daddy-O, Alix Bio-Based, and Aviator Optics, among others.

In an official statement, she shared her thoughts on the collaboration, saying, “It felt natural from the beginning. To me, confidence isn’t loud; it comes from feeling comfortable with yourself and expressing who you are in a quiet way. Ray-Ban has that same energy — simple, expressive, and easy to live in.”

“I love pieces that stay with you every day and become part of your mood, and this collaboration fits perfectly into that,” she adds. The K-pop idol has previously been seen wearing the brand’s shades, making this partnership a perfect and natural fit.

Other artists who have been appointed as ambassadors for the luxury sunglasses and eyeglasses brand include multi-hyphenate Thai artist Jeff Satur in 2024 and Hong Kong rapper and singer-songwriter Jackson Wang in 2019.

In 2025, rapper and record producer A$AP Rocky was appointed as Ray-Ban’s first-ever creative director for Ray-Ban Studios, a creative platform celebrating self-expression and individuality where artists share their personal stories.
