BGYO’s Gelo Rivera will make his highly anticipated acting debut in The Four Bad Boys and Me, the film adaptation of the Wattpad story, produced by ABS-CBN Studios.

Directed by Benedict Mique (Lolo and the Kid), the story follows Candice (Anji Salvacion), an awkward bookworm who crosses paths with the titular bad boys who will unexpectedly turn her life around.

The leader of the Aces of P-pop, BGYO, will play “Mr. Antipatiko” Jeydon Lopez, one of the four titular bad boys, alongside Harvey Bautista as Marky, Dustin Mayores as Troy, and River Joseph as Charles.

In an episode of BRGY, the TFC lifestyle magazine talk show, Gelo shared how he felt nervous taking on his first acting role. “Siyempre, nakakakaba kasi pinili nila ako as lead doon kahit wala akong experience at all sa acting, kahit workshops, wala.” (Of course, it was nerve-racking because they chose me as the lead despite having no experience at all in acting. Not even workshops.)

Gelo adds how the whole experience felt rewarding, especially working and learning from his co-stars.

Additionally, in the interview, he credited his fellow BGYO member Akira Morishita for helping him improve his acting. Akira has acted in the films Kalel, 15 andTol, as well as the iWant romantic-comedy miniseries, Bola Bola.
