The 97th Academy Awards, which celebrates cinematic achievement and excellence as assessed by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), returns on March 2 (March 3, Philippine Time) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California.

Hosted by Emmy-winning television host and comedian Conan O’Brien, the annual awards ceremony will feature a lineup of performers, but will not include performances by Best Original Song nominees, as previously announced by The Academy.

Among the announced performers include Wicked stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, who are set to bring the magic of Oz to the Oscars stage. The duo is likely to perform fan-favorite songs from the musical: “Defying Gravity” and “Popular.” Aside from their performances, Erivo and Grande are vying for the Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress awards, respectively.

LISA of BLACKPINK, Doja Cat, and RAYE will come together for one epic Oscars moment. The global superstars recently collaborated on LISA’s latest single “Born Again,” ahead of her upcoming debut solo studio album, Alter Ego. However, the trio won’t be performing the track at the ceremony, but the Academy teased that their performance will be “legendary.”

The Academy also teased a performance from Queen Latifah, who is set to “take the Oscars stage for a moment you won’t want to miss.” Latifah played the Wiz in the 2015 NBC television special The Wiz Live! and has starred in the musical films Chicago, Hairspray, and Joyful Noise.

Aside from the announced lineup of performers, the awards ceremony will feature a special appearance by the Los Angeles Master Chorale.

The 97th Oscars will be streaming live exclusively on Disney+ Philippines on March 3.
