Acclaimed artist and veteran Gloc-9 has released Mga Ani ni Gloc-9, his first-ever vinyl record featuring 11 of the Filipino rap icon’s most celebrated songs from throughout his career, to mark his 29 years in the music industry.

Produced by Universal Records, the limited-edition yellow and green splatter vinyl compilation brings together recordings originally released under Universal Records, Sony Music, and Star Music, gathering nearly three decades of Gloc-9’s work into one physical release. Known for his incisive lyricism and storytelling, the artist born Aristotle Pollisco has built a career around songs that examine social realities, personal struggles, and the everyday experiences of Filipinos. His ability to translate these subjects into compelling and catchy verses has established him as one of the country’s most influential and respected artists — not just in hip-hop, but in OPM as a whole.

Among the 11 tracks featured on Mga Ani ni Gloc-9 are “Sirena” featuring Ebe Dancel, “Magda” featuring Rico Blanco, “Upuan” featuring Jeazell Grutas, and “Kumpisal” featuring Skusta Clee. These collaborations represent some of the rapper’s most enduring recordings, bringing together distinct musical voices while highlighting his approach to storytelling and socially conscious songwriting.

True to its title, Mga Ani ni Gloc-9 serves as a collection of the songs and stories that have defined his career. By bringing together recordings from different stages of his musical journey, the release offers longtime listeners an opportunity to revisit familiar favorites while introducing a new generation of vinyl-collecting fans to his body of work.

During the launch, Pollisco recalled growing up listening to his parents’ record collection, which included music from ABBA, Tom Jones, Madonna, and other artists. Those early listening experiences helped shape his interest in music and eventually set him on the path to becoming an artist himself.

As Pollisco approaches three decades in music, Mga Ani ni Gloc-9 recognizes the lasting impact of his contributions to Filipino and OPM. It also marks a new milestone in a career built on documenting the Filipino experience through music, one song at a time.
