Former UNIS member Gehlee Dangca is returning to the Philippines with her sights set on a solo career, following her idol group’s two-year run.
After pursuing her dreams as an idol and performer in South Korea, the Filipina singer is set to return to the Philippines on September 29, 2026. Beginning the next chapter of her career as a solo artist, Gehlee will continue under her recording label Universal Records Philippines, with GLXY Talent Management and Star Horizon TV Production overseeing her management in the Philippines.
Her return to the Philippines will allow the 19-year-old artist to continue her education, while fans can look forward to her upcoming local appearances, projects, and other activities in Philippine media, as well as opportunities on the international stage.
Gehlee previously rose to prominence as a member of the South Korea-based girl group UNIS, which were formed through the reality survival show, Universe Ticket. After capturing the public’s attention throughout the competition, she secured the fourth spot in the final lineup of eight members.
UNIS officially debuted with their first mini album, We UNIS, in March 2024, with Filipino-Korean leader Hyeonju, Filipino members Elisia and Gehlee, Japanese members Nana and Kotoko, as well as Korean members Yunha, Yoona, and Seowon.
The group recently concluded their exclusive management contract with F&F Entertainment on September 26, 2026, as announced by the agency. Alongside their disbandment, UNIS released their final digital single, “Milky Way,” on September 23, 2026 as a farewell gift for their fans, EverAfter.
