Rising soul/pop artist Paco Pastor releases “Keep It Moving,” his debut single under Offshore Music.
Writing the song, Pastor took inspiration from the idea of moving forward despite the odds, with this being his take on the “this too shall pass” feeling. “Keep It Moving” harks back to his own personal struggle as an aspiring musician starting to pursue his passion for the craft.
“At the time, I wasn’t validated for my art in music at all, and I was just an independent creator. To be recognized by a label, have a manager willing to put up with my schedule, and have praise from people after I get off stage means so much,” Pastor shares.
This year proved to be a major shift in his career, as Pastor was one of the latest additions to the growing roster of artists under Ely Buendia’s label. He also joined the newly launched artist management collective, Waddle House.
Reflecting on the track, Pastor adds, “It’s a funky feeling that keeps you moving. I was lost in the sauce. Because of how quick-paced the song is, I knew it had to be about dancing somehow. So instead of writing lyrics that spoke in a literal sense, I translated the feeling of resistance and persistence into lyrics about dancing.”
