BINI accept the Powerhouse Award at the third Billboard Philippines Women In Music event.

Presented by the six-member Filipino boy band ALAMAT, the honor was given to the Nation’s Girl Group, who have garnered milestone after milestone, broken records, and are set to represent the Philippines on the global stage, most notably at the upcoming Coachella Festival in April.

Carrying this momentum, the group accepts the award with the leader, Jhoanna, saying, “Alam niyo po sa totoo lang, we didn’t fully understand what a Powerhouse Award really meant. Pero kanina habang pinapakinggan namin yung meaning niya. Nakakakilabot […] There are moments where we doubt ourselves, pero itong moment na ‘to, it reminded us na ang success hindi ‘yan na me-measure sa numbers, hindi ‘yan sa dami ng sumisigaw sa’yo, hindi ‘yan sa laki ng followers mo. Wala ‘yan doon.”

(“You know, honestly, we didn’t fully understand what a Powerhouse Award really meant. But earlier, while we were listening to what it meant. It was scary. There are moments where we doubt ourselves, but this moment reminded us that success is not measured by numbers, it’s not measured by how many people shout at you, it’s not measured by how many followers you have. It’s not about that.”)

“It’s about consistency. It’s about showing up every day kahit mahirap (even when it’s hard). It’s about creating songs even when no one is listening. It’s about keeping going when no one is watching, and it’s about standing strong, especially as women in this industry.”

Jhoanna also thanked their beloved fandom, saying, “To all our Blooms na all out sumuporta, thank you po!

This award was first given to Regine Velasquez-Alcasid at the inaugural Billboard Philippines Women In Music event in 2024.
