After eleven years away from the music industry, Hilary Duff has made a grand comeback with her brand new studio album, titled luck…or something.

The new record sees the Disney icon at her most candid and confessional, unraveling the chaos of her 30s and tackling themes of motherhood, marriage, insecurities, and her fondest obsessions. Yet even while the album features bright pop production and upbeat melodies across the majority of its eleven-track run, it’s Duff’s relatable, charming, and heartfelt lyricism that truly takes the center stage here. Of all the chart-topping albums in the pop star’s discography, it’s evident that this is her most mature and intimate body of work to date.

“I constantly get asked how I still have my head on straight after growing up in this industry,” said Duff in an official press statement. “The album title is my way of answering that question, which felt right for a record that’s about where I’ve landed and all the things I’ve been through along the way,” she continued.

To coincide with the album’s release, its opening track, “Weather For Tennis”, was accompanied by an official music video. Check it out below:

As Duff’s sixth studio album, luck…or something follows such chart-topping albums as Metamorphosis, her self-titled record, and Dignity — all of which debuted within the Top 10 of the Billboard 200. luck…or something was also supported by the singles “Mature” and “Roommates,” both of which received critical acclaim from numerous publications and outlets worldwide.

Prior to the record’s release, Duff embarked on a mini-tour of sorts, titled Small Rooms, Big Nerves, with all shows selling out almost instantly. To keep up with the demand and support the album, she is also set to host the lucky me tour, her first full-scale global headline run in almost two decades, which is set to span seven countries, with dates across the US, Canada, Mexico, the UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
