After much anticipation, Choi Seunghyun (known by his artist tag as T.O.P) has announced his long-awaited return to music with a new album titled Another Dimension.

To drop this announcement, T.O.P took to his official Instagram page last January 2, posting a video where he writes “Another Dimension” on a blank whiteboard. In the caption of this post, the artist declared the end to his nearly thirteen-year-long hiatus, saying, “A new album is on the way. Top Spot – 다중관점 [Another Dimension].”

As aforementioned, this would be the former K-pop idol’s first solo release in thirteen years, following his experimental hip-hop debut single “DOOM DADA,” which was dropped on November 15, 2013. The rapper also participated in the recording of BIGBANG’s emotional ballad piece, written about their growth together as a group, “Still Life,” which was released in April 2022.

Choi Seung-hyun made his debut as the lead rapper of the 2nd generation K-pop boy group BIGBANG in 2006. In 2018, T.O.P took a hiatus after being involved in a marijuana usage scandal in 2018, which led to his eventual departure from BIGBANG. As of last year, the artist made his return to entertainment, acting as Thanos in the second season of the Netflix series Squid Game.
