Eraserheads: Combo on the Run, the acclaimed documentary on the legendary OPM rock band, has had its international distribution rights secured by Evan Saxon Productions and The Filipino Channel (TFC), and is set for a theatrical release in various regions around the world in 2026.

Evan Saxon Productions is led by Evan Saxon, a veteran entertainment executive who has successfully navigated the best of both the film and music worlds. He has spearheaded global marketing and distribution campaigns for music film events such as Pearl Jam’s promotional visualization “experience” of their 2024 album Dark Matter, which premiered in more than 900 cinemas in over 45 countries.

Saxon also worked on Coldplay’s global premiere party of their album Moon Music, which screened in over 800 cinemas across 40 countries. Additionally, Saxon has worked on various music films and documentaries from artists like The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Iron Maiden, Dolly Parton, Green Day, and a whole lot more.

Maria Diane Ventura, director and producer of Combo on the Run, shared that there was a mutual understanding with the distribution company about bringing musical stories to the world. “What excites me about this collaboration is the chance to make every screening feel alive. Evan Saxon Productions has turned music films into cinematic events that connect artists and audiences in a powerful way. That’s exactly the kind of experience I want for this film — something that feels shared, emotional, and lasting.”

Ventura hopes that the documentary will resonate with audiences abroad, as well as appeal to music lovers and cinephiles worldwide. Through Evan Saxon Productions, the documentary will be released theatrically in North America, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Latin America.

Meanwhile, The Filipino Channel (TFC) has acquired the film’s distribution rights for the Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand, with a planned release across cities in the Arabian region in January 2026. TFC, which is part of ABS-CBN International, has also distributed several Filipino films in North America under its TFC at the Movies brand.

“At its core, Eraserheads: Combo On The Run is a human story about resilience, healing, artistry, and the enduring pull of music to bring people together — themes that echo far beyond one band or country,” Ventura adds.
