This coming November 1 to 4, Davao-based genre-fluid artist RJ Manulid will be bringing his ‘Looking Up’ Album Tour around the city of Tokyo, Japan, in three exciting shows. According to an official press release, “the first show will be an acoustic piano set, and the other 2 shows will be electronic sets.”
In the same press release, the singer-songwriter noted, “As an independent artist for the past 11 years, I’m excited by this opportunity to showcase original Filipino music on a global stage. Thank you to everyone who has supported the music to get to this point. I hope I can make you all proud.”

This follows Manulid’s recent release of his third and latest album Looking Up, which was dropped in December 2023. The indie pop record includes nine tracks. Additionally, the artist recently concluded two fundraiser shows in Davao.
RJ Manulid is an independent singer-songwriter based in Davao City, who released three self-produced albums between the years 2018 and 2024. The artist was previously selected as a Sponsored Fellow for the Philpop Songwriting Bootcamp in 2018, learning from such artists as Ryan Cayabyab, Ben&Ben’s Guico brothers, and more.
