Following their debut piece “Bling!” last April 11, up-and-coming P-pop girl group RAYA announced their upcoming sophomore single release set for August 14 (Thursday) at 12 midnight. Titled “Diva Diba,” the fresh track is available for pre-saving here. Additionally, in video teasers posted prior to the song’s release, it’s been hinted that a music video will also be premiered for the new track — watch this space for updates.
This marks RAYA’s second original single following their debut release. Prior to this, the girl group first broke into the scene with a cover of Hotdog’s 1996 classic “Bongga Ka Day.” Additionally, their debut single “Bling!” has also made waves in Philippine pop culture, having made an appearance on the soundtrack of the Viva One original web series Avenues of the Diamond.
In related news, the rising stars’ sibling group under Viva Records, GAT, has also made their highly anticipated official debut on August 1 with the single “Kakaiba.” This followed their string of successful pre-debut cover releases like “Daleng Dale,” “Rainbow,” and more.
RAYA is a rookie P-pop group composed of nine members; Jemima, Rona, Kash, Priscilla, Aviona, Abel, Ash, Anna, and Sofia. Furthermore, their group name derives from the Filipino word hiraya, which translates to hopes, dreams, and aspirations.
