Today (June 19, 2025), it has been announced that HYBE and Geffen Records have opened auditions, as they’re on the lookout for their next global girl group following KATSEYE. The casting call has been opened in Japan, with other cities to be announced, and online submissions will be open until July 17 of this year. The link to the audition submission portal has yet to be shared, watch this space for updates.
Women (with identifying pronouns either she/her or they/them) aged 15 to 20 are eligible to audition for categories vocals, rap, dance, songwriting, and production.
In related news, record label and subsidiary under HYBE, ADOR (where NewJeans are currently signed), is also on the search for their next boy group, and have started global auditions for men born in 2006 and up. The auditions will be open until July 5, 5PM KST, on adoraudition.world.
This follows the debut of KATSEYE as the first girl group collaborative project between American label Geffen Records and HYBE. The group was selected through the competition show The Debut: Dream Academy, where members Sophia, Yoonchae, Megan, Manon, Lara, and Daniela were first brought to the limelight.
