Today (May 16, 2025), independent singer-songwriter Geiko came out with her long-anticipated latest single entitled “Palapit Sa Ü.”
In the caption for her post announcing the release of the song, the artist revealed the song has long been in development, “[I] finally got to release a song that i wrote recently! I wrote this on December 1, 2024 when I somehow accepted that.. Hayuyu, I’m seeing my friend in a different light.” She adds, “It’s different from my usual sound and to be honest, i’m still figuring out what i want my music to sound like.”
This marks her first release since she debuted her popular single “Nang Tahimik” last November 22.
Geiko made her official debut in 2021 with the single “Yule,” where she collaborated with Ryu Temples. From there, she’s made popular tracks that have made their rounds on the Internet, such as “Sol at Luna,” “anxious heart (don’t be tired of me),” and more.
