As of May 30, 2025, local jazz-funk band Wuji Wuji have finally released their long-anticipated sophomore extended play entitled NOVISION. This follows the premiere of the first pre-release single from the EP, “Careless,” that was dropped last January 10, 2025.

This marks the band’s second EP, following their debut EP, NOSOUL, that was released in 2023. Titled after the album’s feature song, “NOVISION” featuring fellow local talent Meg Ruiz, the record is set to be a marker of evolution from being rising artists as they suit up (literally and figuratively) to shift their sound into a more experimental art-rock direction. That being said, the six-track EP is a genre-bending exploration of this new era for Wuji Wuji, that shows the full extent of the band’s experimentation.

In an official press release, the band’s frontman, Ricardo Tiongson, shared, “NOVISION was made unintentionally but instinctually. We were writing and producing during a time when Wuji Wuji was struggling with identity and vision, especially as we were following up NOSOUL — where
our harshest critic since has been ourselves.”

Check out the full tracklist of NOVISION here:

  1. “Time’s a Crime”
  2. “Push & Pull”
  3. “Sand”
  4. “NOVISION (feat. Meg Ruiz)”
  5. “Careless”
  6. “Words Hurt”

Officially debuted in 2021, Wuji Wuji is a Metro Manila-based alt-fusion six-piece band formed by Filipino creatives Ricardo Tiongson, Antonio Guerrero, Rafa Magtoto, Lian Lim, Tavin Villanueva, and Angelo Paz.
